Herman Mah, VP Community Issues

DVA Community Issues Committee is honoured to help promote the City of Vancouver's 2012 Homeless Count on March 26 and March 27. The DVA is actively recruiting volunteers from amongst our members, friends and supporters. If you are interested in participating, please contact our office by email to info@thedva.com or by telephone at 604-468-7382 or click here to download the recruitment / volunteer form.

Once you've completed your form, please fax directly to Liza Jimenez at 604-871-6488. Also, please be sure to include 'DVA' somewhere in the Agency box, so the Count knows you're with us.

"Many of us either live or work in Vancouver, voted numerous times as one of the most liveable city in the world.  However, there are some who, for various reasons, are not as fortunate.  For them, having a safe and warm place to call "home" is a daily challenge.  Many non-for-profit organizations and different levels of government are working together to solve this issue. It is important to gauge the results of these initiatives and to demonstrate that there is hope to this complex problem.  On March 26 and 27, the City of Vancouver is undertaking its annual homeless count.  Please volunteer a few hours to get involved."
